A data protection officer has not been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.
When you access the website, the web server automatically records in log files: the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the HTTP status code and the amount of data transferred, the referring URL and the browser and operating system used (user agent). These data are processed to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security and to detect and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in these purposes. Log files are retained for up to eight weeks and then deleted automatically, unless they are needed as evidence of a specific security incident.
The wiki software (DokuWiki) sets the following cookies:
These cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). The legal basis for any related processing of personal data is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. No consent is required, and no consent banner is shown.
If you write to the editor, the data you provide (e-mail address, name and the content of your message) are processed to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to process corrections or contributions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where your message concerns participation or collaboration, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data are deleted when they are no longer needed for these purposes, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
For participants of the Roundtable, the name, e-mail address and, where provided, affiliation are processed to send invitations and organise the sessions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Information on any video-conference service used is provided with the invitation. Notes of sessions are published only without attribution and with the consent of the participants.
For persons with an editor account, the login name, display name and e-mail address are stored to administer the account. For each edit, the wiki records the time, the account and the IP address in the version history; the version history shows the display name to visitors, not the IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (administration of the collaboration and documentation of changes). The data are stored for as long as the account exists and the version history is kept.
Personal data are not transferred to third parties, except to the hosting provider acting as processor. Data are not transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, please write to contact@lawyersforpeace.online.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for the controller is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany.
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
